Successful treatment of the camping lake in Jabbeke, Belgium - in just 3 days

For almost 3 weeks, the lake at the camping site was closed due to an infestation of cyanobacteria, more commonly known as blue-green algae. There was disappointment, not only among the children and families who wanted to spend their summer holidays there, but also among many water-skiers because the lake is home to one of the largest water ski facilities in Belgium.

Using CyanoClear, OASE was able to restore the lake to safe bathing condition in only 3 days. Extensive sampling and analysis preceded the treatment and within a week after the application of CyanoClear the relieved news came from Belgium. The blue-green algae were drastically reduced, including the toxins (microcystins) bound there. After the official release of the city of Bruges, the lake has now been reopened for bathing and water-skiing.
