Two attractions - unique impressions

Doha, the capital of Qatar, offers local and international shoppers a variety of malls. So, what could the new Tawar Mall offer in 2018 to make a name for itself right from the start? The investors had an idea: two extraordinary water attractions should attract and inspire customers and invite them to spend some time. The local company Watermaster Qatar and OASE FT partner was commissioned with the concept and design - and with the OASE Fountain Technology product competence, it found the perfect partner for the sophisticated realisation..

The installation

Let’s start the show!

Attraction no. 1 was planned for the central hall on the ground floor: Here, a flashwall was to ensure maximum attention - which OASE technicians consistently realised with the maximum possible flashwall height of 10 metres. A high-precision digital nozzle control system makes it possible to create sharply contoured images, symbols or texts on the flowing curtain of water made up of millions of tiny droplets, even in these dimensions. Attraction no. 2 was intended for the roof terrace: Here, an impressive show fountain with water choreographies set to music offers guests of the restaurants and cafés first-class entertainment à la OASE. One of the challenges here was to conceal the pumps - which was skilfully achieved with the Varionaut pump in the smallest of spaces. 

The successes

A premiere, lots of paparazzi

Setting standards in Qatar is not easy in view of the many attractions - but OASE has actually managed it with the first permanently installed Flashwall in Qatar. The thousands of photos and videos taken by visitors since the opening prove that it, like the show fountain, is an extremely popular photo motif. And if you take a look at review portals such as Tripadvisor, you will repeatedly find mentions of the two water attractions at Tawar Mall.
