The mission

Create unique water features for the five-star hotel

Elite World Sapanca Hotel is a space for wellness, conferences, business events and relaxing holidays. Located on the outskirts of the vibrant metropolitan area of Istanbul, this five-star hotel is a haven of peace, relaxation and focus. In addition to its 500 rooms, 21 conference rooms and extensive spa area, the hotel offers a magnificent view of the picturesque Sapanca Gölü lake. To complement this, the refined ambience of the entire space was to be accentuated with unique water features.

Water as a central design element

The architectural concept was ambitious: The aim was to integrate water into the design of the hotel complex in a variety of ways. Watercourses, curved pools and fountains would combine to form a harmonious and impressive water landscape. The large, central waterfall would act as a particular highlight. The concept would continue throughout the interior: Rain curtains and other water installations would accompany guests throughout the entire complex – both visually and acoustically. The colouring had also been carefully considered: Amber was to be the dominant colour and would be translated into the water features using lighting. A high-quality overall concept – a task tailor-made for OASE. 
 

The installation

Architects' plans implemented creatively

Bringing the architects' plans to life required extensive technical planning and the combination of various OASE technologies and components. To implement unique colour concepts, OASE offers lighting options with a colour spectrum that covers all the shades of visible light. This includes the special warm amber colour tone (590 nm), an extraordinary colour for new effects that fit so precisely into the architects' amber colour concept that the client wondered why they had not originally incorporated OASE LEDs into the lighting plan for the building. The illuminated waterfall was therefore particularly atmospheric.

When in doubt, just do it yourself

The construction preparations also proved to be challenging, especially for the company commissioned by the client, which had difficulty in building some of the required substructures in time. The OASE team therefore stepped in to provide these services, which was extremely appreciated by the building owner and earned us a small, special event as a thank you.

The successes

A vision comes to life

It is always a special moment when the water features are switched on for the first time. Here, too, the OASE team managed to create a lasting impression and inspire the client. "Now the complex truly comes to life" was the reaction as all the fountains and the waterfall burst into action. Guests and visitors to the Elite World Sapanca Hotel also enjoy the fountains and waterfalls that are spread throughout the complex. They blend in seamlessly with the refined ambience and are a popular background for selfies.

Reliability in the smallest detail

The successful completion of the work by the entire OASE team proved to be a significant achievement in this project, especially in view of the difficulties encountered by other parties involved in the project. The owner stressed that OASE is a service provider that reliably keeps its promises and delivers excellent quality. OASE is the first company to be commissioned by the investor to work on such creatively and technically ambitious projects for the third time in a row.
