Some lakes contain way too much free nutrients. Abundance of nutrients is one of the biggest problems in artificial ponds. SeDox Speed converts very high contents of phosphates, the most important nutrient for algae in water, to the insoluble mineral apatite - in only a few hours. SeDox Speed is the best solution for urgent cases where quick releif is needed. It comes in small bags and in order to achieve the best possible effects, they should be placed in areas with a good flow, for eg. near a water inlet or in a filter. The algae are deprived of the nutrient phosphate. This way excessive algae growth is prevented. SeDox Speed is effective for up to six weeks, depending on the phosphate content. During this time, it reduces the phosphate content of the water to less than 0.035 mg/l - the critical factor for excessive algae growth. The apatite that is formed is not harmful to fish or other living organisms. It is absorbed as a nutrient through the roots of aquatic plants. Algae cannot use apatite for nutrition.
